Australian regulator investigating ESG claims by companies, funds

The Australian Securities & Investments Commission released a report and mentioned that it had undertaken “both reactive and proactive surveillance in relation to greenwashing”. Among its findings, ASIC it identified instances when entities described operations, projects or products as carbon-neutral, clean or green “when there appeared to be no reasonable basis for these claims.” Read more
