EU Lawmakers Adopt Corporate Sustainability Reporting Rules
The European Parliament adopted the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The CSRD is aimed as a major update to the 2014 Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD), the current EU sustainability reporting framework. The new rules will increase the number of companies disclosing sustainability information and additional reporting requirements will also be added regarding the impacts on environment human rights etc. Read more
Govt unveils sovereign green bonds framework
The government released the sovereign green bonds with the fund raised through the instrument to be used for projects including renewable energy, electric vehicles, biodiversity conservation and climate change mitigation.
