According to a new report from Moody’s Investors Service, issuance volumes of green, social, sustainability and sustainability-linked (GSSS) bonds rebounded strongly in the first half of 2023, rising 7% year-over-year to $526 billion even as overall bond market issuance volumes fell 7% over the same period, except in North America. EU Commission Adopts Final Sustainability Reporting Rules

The European Commission announced that it has adopted the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), the rules and requirements for companies to report on sustainability-related impacts, opportunities and risks under the EU’s upcoming Corporate Sustainable Reporting Directive (CSRD). The reporting will begin for some companies as soon as the 2024 financial year. Read more
