Mirova Research Center and Sweep have launched a pioneering Climate Contribution Framework (CCF) — a unified, science-based benchmark designed to more accurately measure and compare corporate climate action. Developed with support from I Care by BearingPoint and Winrock International, the framework goes beyond conventional emissions-reduction metrics by evaluating a company’s climate-enabling activities as well. These include green financing, deployment of low-carbon solutions, and value-chain innovation, all tailored to sector-specific contexts.
By integrating carbon footprint reduction, scaling climate solutions, and mobilising climate finance into one comparable metric, the CCF reframes the corporate role in climate action — shifting the perspective from companies being merely “emitters” to becoming active contributors to the global net-zero transition.
