Government of Canada to Require Suppliers to Disclose Emissions, Set GHG Reduction Targets

According to a new Standard on the Disclosure of Greenhouse Gas Emissions and the Setting of Reduction Targets, large suppliers to the Government of Canada will be compelled to disclose their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and set targets to reduce them, starting April 1, 2023.

EU Lawmakers Strike Deal to Establish European Green Bond Standards

Lawmakers in the European Parliament and the European Council announced an agreement on the creation of standards for proposed European Green Bonds (EuGB).
Under the new proposed standard, described as the “gold standard” for green bonds, issuers will need to follow a strict set of investment and transparency criteria, and make sure that all proceeds are invested in activities aligned with the EU Taxonomy.
