Amazon has signed a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with German energy producer RWE for 110 MW of electricity from the Nordseecluster B offshore wind project in the North Sea, strengthening its commitment to clean energy and decarbonisation. The capacity is expected to generate enough renewable power to supply the equivalent of more than 139,000 German households annually and builds on the strategic partnership the two companies established in June 2025.
The agreement marks Amazon’s fourth large-scale offshore wind PPA in Germany and expands its renewable energy portfolio in the country to over 790 MW. This move supports Amazon’s broader objective of achieving net-zero carbon emissions across its operations by 2040.
