UK Bans Shell, Petronas, Repsol Ads in Greenwashing Crackdown
UK ad regulator the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) issued a series of rulings banning several ads from energy companies Shell, Petronas and Repsol highlighting the companies’ clean energy initiatives. As per the authority the ads breached codes regarding misleading advertising and environmental claims. Read more
EU eyes conflicts of interest crackdown in ESG ratings rules
As per European Commission’s new proposal ESG rating agencies, including those from outside the bloc will need to certify with the EU’s financial regulator and in case of conflict of interest they may face fines. Read more
