Assent Launches Solution to Support EU Deforestation Regulation Compliance
A new solution has been introduced by Assent to assist producers in adhering to the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), which prohibits the sale of goods associated with deforestation in the EU. Products derived from commodities such as palm oil, beef, lumber, coffee, cocoa, rubber, and soy are covered by the statute. Companies are required to demonstrate by December 2025 that their products are legally produced, deforestation-free, and traceable back to their original location.
To help organizations comply, Assent's solution supports businesses by identifying impacted parts and suppliers, mapping commodities, contacting suppliers in multiple languages, gathering geolocation data, and producing comprehensive due diligence reports.
