Altitude has announced a major carbon removal agreement, securing over 360,000 tonnes of CO₂ Removal Certificates (CORCs) from biochar facilities in India and the Philippines, with initial deliveries expected from 2026. The deal, signed with biochar developer Alcom, will see certificates issued through Puro.earth or equivalent registries, ensuring high integrity, transparency, and traceability within voluntary carbon markets.

The partnership underscores the growing role of biochar—produced through advanced pyrolysis of agricultural residues—as a durable carbon sink that improves soil health, reduces open-field waste burning, and delivers local economic benefits. By anchoring carbon removal within verified frameworks and scaling infrastructure across Asia, Altitude aims to expand its portfolio of high-integrity removals to meet rising corporate net-zero demand while supporting sustainable development in emerging markets.
