TotalEnergies has launched France’s first advanced plastics recycling plant at its Grandpuits site, marking a significant step towards building a circular economy. The facility uses advanced recycling technology to process hard-to-recycle plastic waste that would otherwise be incinerated or sent to landfill, helping to reduce environmental impact.
The plant converts this waste into feedstock that can be reused to produce high-quality plastics, including food-grade materials. This initiative is part of the company’s broader strategy to minimise plastic waste and increase the share of recycled polymers in its production processes.
