Norway’s sovereign wealth fund, through Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), has committed €1.2 billion, approximately $1.34 billion, to Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners’ sixth flagship renewable energy fund, CI VI. The investment builds on NBIM’s €900 million commitment to CIP’s previous renewable energy fund in 2024.
The new fund will focus on renewable power generation and energy-storage projects across OECD markets, including North America, Western Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. The move further strengthens Norway’s exposure to clean-energy infrastructure and supports investment in renewable projects at the development stage.
