The Science Based Targets Network (SBTN) has launched an updated framework to help companies set and implement science-based targets for nature. The framework addresses corporate impacts on land, freshwater and oceans, while helping businesses overcome challenges related to data availability, supply-chain transparency and complex value chains.
The revised framework introduces more flexible target-setting pathways, expanded freshwater quality measures, and new approaches to land regeneration and restoration. It also provides practical tools, including an expanded response options database and a corporate action plan template, to help companies translate environmental commitments into measurable actions and strengthen biodiversity conservation efforts.
