Temasek Trust and the World Bank Group have signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen development finance and advance sustainable solutions across climate, energy, water, agriculture and healthcare. Announced on October 12, 2026, during the World Bank Group’s inaugural Philanthropy Forum in Bangkok, the partnership aims to combine philanthropic capital, global development expertise and local knowledge to address pressing development challenges.
As part of the collaboration, Temasek Trust plans to establish a regional Knowledge Node at Temasek Shophouse in Singapore in 2027. The initiative will connect philanthropic organisations with the World Bank Group’s expertise, datasets and networks, helping promising pilot projects scale into broader development programmes. The partnership will also promote knowledge sharing, cross-sector collaboration and improved funding coordination to maximise social and environmental impact.
