YOFC Cuts Emissions Intensity by 13% Through Smart Manufacturing Initiatives
Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC) has announced a 13.12% year-on-year reduction in greenhouse gas emissions intensity in 2025, according to its latest ESG and Sustainability Report. The company also reduced total carbon emissions by more than 86,000 tonnes while improving energy and water efficiency across operations.
The report highlighted YOFC’s focus on smart manufacturing and sustainable innovation as it expands globally across more than 100 countries. The company said its self-developed SmartCarbon platform helped strengthen emissions tracking, while advances in hollow-core optical fiber technology are expected to support lower-energy AI-driven network infrastructure in the future.
