TotalEnergies has signed its largest-ever U.S. renewable energy deal, agreeing to supply 1 GW of solar power to Google data centres in Texas under long-term contracts. The electricity will be generated from two new solar projects, supporting Google’s ambition to operate its facilities on clean energy around the clock.

The agreement underscores the rapidly growing demand for renewable power from data-intensive sectors such as data centres. For TotalEnergies, the deal strengthens its U.S. renewable energy portfolio, while Google secures reliable, large-scale clean electricity to meet the rising energy needs of its digital and data infrastructure.
