Change in names of four ESG funds
SEBI released norms for ESG investments under the thematic category of equity mutual funds namely: Exclusion, Integration, Best-in-class & Positive Screening, Impact investing, sustainable objectives, and Transition or transition related investments.
In line with that, the fund houses have changed as mutual funds started complying with above norms and informed its investors about the change through a notice-cum-addendum. For example, Two ESG funds from Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual fund and Axis Mutual Fund specified they will employ integration strategy and renamed the schemes accordingly.
