Fidelity Launches Two New Article 9 Paris-Aligned Corporate Bond ETFs

Fidelity International announced the launch of two new climate-focused fixed income ETFs, the Fidelity Sustainable EUR Corporate Bond Paris Aligned Multifactor UCITS ETF (FUIG) and the Fidelity Sustainable USD Corporate Bond Paris Aligned Multifactor UCITS ETF (FEIS).
Under EU rules, Indices that are labelled as Paris-aligned Benchmarks (PABs) must meet criteria of a minimum reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions intensity of at least 50% compared to the market index, with annual GHG emissions intensity reductions of at least 7%, among others.

Sustainable Bond Issuance on Track to Grow to $950 Billion in 2023, Despite Q3 Pullback: Moody’s

According to a new report from Moody’s Investors Service, Issuance volumes of green, social, sustainability and sustainability-linked (GSSS) bonds pulled back sharply in Q3 2023, falling 26% year-over-year to $198 billion, slightly underperforming the global bond market’s 22% decline, however still maintaining its forecast of $950 billion.
