ESMA Recommends Sustainability Disclosure Requirements for All Financial Products

EU markets regulator the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) announced the publication of its “Opinion on the Sustainable Finance Regulatory Framework,” setting out a series of key recommendations aimed at facilitating investor access to sustainable investments, including implementing requirements for basic sustainability disclosures for all financial products, regulating ESG data products, and establishing categories for sustainable and transition investment products. Indian Businesses More Focused Than Global Peers On ESG Reporting, Compliance: Study

The latest study titled ‘Pivotal: How treasury and finance enable a new era of globalisation’ by DBS Bank with the FT Longitude has revealed that Indian businesses are more focused than their global peers on environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting and compliance. About 72 per cent of Indian businesses will prioritise diversification in the next two years.
