Shizen Energy has signed three new 20-year solar power agreements with Microsoft, totaling 100 MW across four projects in Japan. The latest deals add to an earlier 25 MW project in Inuyama City—Microsoft’s first renewable energy purchase in Japan. The new solar plants, located in the Kyushu and Chugoku regions, support Microsoft’s “100/100/0” goal to match all electricity use with zero-carbon energy sources by 2030 and its plan to operate entirely on renewable energy by 2025.
