From Zara to Nike, H&M, and Levi’s, garment makers feel the heat under EU sustainability laws

New European Union regulations make retailers selling in the bloc, like Inditex, H&M and Nike, legally liable for conditions at their suppliers, putting pressure on them to help fund improvements to cool factories they source from. As per a report workers in Bangladesh, Vietnam etc. are exposed to extreme Heat as a result of climate change and a only a few retailers include protocol in their suppliers code of conduct to protect workers from such conditions.
