Netflix signs 15-year carbon credit deal with American Forest Foundation

The American Forest Foundation has signed a 15-year agreement with Netflix to purchase carbon credits from AFF’s Fields & Forests program. The initiative supports small landowners in the U.S. South to convert unused farmland into forests by covering planting costs, providing technical support, and paying landowners annually.

Currently, 2,500 acres are enrolled, with a target of 75,000 acres by 2032, projected to generate 4.8 million carbon credits. Netflix’s early financing will fund the first 6,000 acres and help scale the project.
