ERM, Secaro, and AstraZeneca have launched a new Clean Heat Program aimed at accelerating the decarbonisation of industrial heat across global supply chains—an often overlooked but significant source of emissions. Industrial heat contributes nearly 18% of global greenhouse gas emissions and remains challenging to transition away from fossil fuels due to technical and cost-related barriers.
The initiative is designed to help companies move beyond initial assessments by providing access to supply chain data, technical expertise, and financing pathways to enable real-world project implementation. It also seeks to enhance energy security, reduce exposure to volatile fossil fuel prices, and support organizations in achieving their climate targets more effectively.
