Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has topped the Perpetual Capital Hurun India Impact 50 – 2026 sustainability rankings with a score of 53.9, showcasing strong performance across key UN Sustainable Development Goals like climate action, water use, circularity and gender equality. HCL Technologies, Grasim Industries, Tata Motors and Dabur India rounded out the top five, as companies increasingly embed environmental, social and governance (ESG) priorities into core business strategies.
Together, the top 50 firms spent over ₹8,000 crore on corporate social responsibility in FY25, benefiting more than 200 million people and reflecting rising investor and consumer expectations for sustainable practices. Many listed companies are adopting renewable energy and setting carbon neutrality goals, although fewer have established water neutrality targets, indicating room for deeper ESG integration.
